Automatic Dialing allows for a number to be automatically Dialed as soon as (or with a delay of your choice) the Account is opened on the screen. This option will only work if Click-to-Dial from the system is set up.
Automatic Dialing can be set up either on a per Area or per User basis. If Autodial has been configured for the Area, all Users working in that Area will have this set.
To turn on Automatic Dialing for a whole Area go to the Menu option, Setup > Database Areas, click into the relevant Area, go to the Dialing and Call Recording heading and tick the check box next to "Automatically Dial the phone when Accounts are opened"
If you would like there to be a delay before the Automatic Dialing triggers you can add that here also.
A delay can be added on a Customer Status basis also. To get to this option you will need to go to the Menu option, Setup > Customer Status, click into a status and select the Workflow heading. In here you will need to add the delay.
To configure Automatic Dialing on a User basis you will need to go to the Menu option, Setup > User Profiles, click on the User you wish to amend and click on Permissions header to view the advanced setup. Select the appropriate option next to "Automatically Dial". For Use Area Settings go to Menu > Setup > Database Areas (Detailed instructions above).
