The system can track both bulk and individual emails automatically, click here for more details on bulk emails.
To have email tracking on individual emails go to the Menu option, Setup > Database Areas, select the relevant Area and click the Email Server heading. In this heading you will need to scroll down the page and check the box for 'Track individual' emails. Once this has been ticked you will need to click save to save those changes.
Email tracking information will appear in the Contact History.
