The SMTP email server must be configured in the Database Area Setup.
Go to the Menu option, Setup > Database Areas, edit the required Area.
Click the section header for Email Server.
Scroll down to find the email settings:
Option | Description |
Email From Name | The default "from name" if not set in the User Profile. |
Email Address | The default "from address" if not set in the User Profile. |
BCC Address | Enter an email address to automatically always send a copy to another address. Multiple addresses can be entered separated by a semi-colon ; |
SMTP Server | Enter the SMTP email server to send email from. This can be a name URL or an IP address. |
SMTP Server Port | Enter the server port for your SMTP. The default for SMTP's is: 25 |
SMTP Encryption | Select the encryption type required by the server: None / SSL / TLS |
SMTP Username | Enter the Username to access the SMTP server. This must always be entered. |
SMTP Password | Enter the Password to access the SMTP server. This must always be entered. |
Default recipient | If the recipient field is blank at the point of sending the Account Document, it will default to the recipient selected here. Individual email templates can be set by entering *contact or *salesperson in the Default Recipient field |
Read Receipt | Tick the box to send a read receipt request. |
Track Individual Emails | Tick the box to have the system report on when emails are opened. New entries are created in an Account's Contact History. |
Email Preview | The default option of Editable Text Area allows callers to change the text contents of emails before they are sent (manual email only). If users should not be able to edit emails select Fixed Read Only Frame. |
We do not supply the SMTP ourselves so it would be up to you to find the right one for your Company. Any SMTP Server will work with the CRM, however we have integration with Sendgrid which allows us to track statistics easier than with other SMTP Providers.
