The following instructions have been put together to help existing clients move their SMTP service from any other provider to SendGrid.

Initially we will assume that you are an active client and have access to both your FIVE CRM instance and a standard email account.

When following these instructions we will walk you through how to create a Sendgrid account, how to change your SMTP details and how to create a SendGrid Whitelabel in order to

give your email the best chance of reaching the intended box.

Step 1: Sign up on SendGrid. We would suggest starting with their Trial account which is free.

Step 2: Confirm your email address by using the link in the email that was just sent to you.

Step 3: Complete SendGrid's company information form.

Step 4: Wait for your account to be provisioned, which you will be notified about. For more information on the provisioning process click here.

Step 5: Update your system SMTP details to the following:

SMTP Server: smtp.sendgrid.net

SMTP Port: 587

SMTP Encryption: -none-

SMTP Username: [Your SendGrid Username]

SMTP Password: [Your SendGrid Password]

This can be found in Menu > Setup > Database Areas then select the area you wish to change and choose the Email Server Section.

The following steps require you to have access to your domainDNS in order to create new CNAME entries and change your SPF record, if you do not have access to this you

will need to contact your domain administrator or FIVE CRM Customer Success Support for further assistance.

Step 6: Log in to Sendgrid, open the settings and navigate to whitelabels. Add a domain with the subdoman of 'em' and main domain of 'yourdomain.com' making sure to flag it as

default.

After saving this will then present you with DNS records needing to be created on your domain.

Step 7: You should proceed to do the same for whitelabel email links which can be found under the email links option and repeat the same process. After completed please allow

up to 24 hours for the changes to DNS records to propagate.

Step 8: Test several standard emails using mail-tester to make sure all changes have applied.
