Release version 7.1 brings the introduction of the 'Email Campaign Logger'. This allows end users to intuitively determine details about their Email Campaigns through error, warning, success and information messages.

These messages will help you resolve any problems which may have occurred, or just inform you which emails were successfully sent.

The 'Email Campaign Logger' can be found by clicking on one of the following:

When you click on either of the above you will be presented with a screen similar to this:

There are four different tabs, with different levels of severity. The tabs have the following classifications:

Error

Issues which cannot be automatically resolved by the system, which need to be resolved before the system can send the Campaign.

Warning

Issues with specific Contacts which do not meet the sending requirements, causing these Contacts to be omitted from the Campaign, so that the Campaign can send successfully to all other Contacts.

Success

Contacts which, to the best of our knowledge, have been successfully sent to.

Info

Issues which have no impact on the result of the Campaign, which may be of interest.

Each of these types of messages cover a large range of categories, which should help you to better understand what has happened with your Email Campaign. The below tables list each of these categories with an example message and a possible reason for getting these messages.

The system could not find or get information about the links, if this happens we prevent the Campaign from sending.

The step that you are getting your Contact information from does not seem to exist any more. Check to see if the source step is set up correctly in your current step.

No Valid SMTP

There were no valid SMTP details found in the area, global or user SMTP server settings.

Send Failed

The SMTP details used cannot authenticate with the details you have entered in either the area, global or user SMTP server settings.

Sendgrid

API Key

We could not create a Sendgrid API key. This can be because you have already hit the limit of 100 in your Sendgrid account.

Sendgrid had issues creating an API key. Their service may be down currently.

Sendgrid Failed Removing API Key

Sendgrid had issues removing an API key. Their service may be down currently.

Sendgrid Failed Retrieving API Key

There was an issue getting the Sendgrid API key from your system. Please try again.

Sendgrid Failed Storing API Key

There was an issue storing the Sendgrid API key in your system. Please try again.

Webhook Initialising

Failure

Webhooks are used to help us populate information for your Campaign such as sends and bounces. If this cannot be initialised we prevent the Campaign from sending.

The Contact is a duplicate of another Contact in the same Email Campaign, so we have not sent the email to this Contact multiple times.

The Contact does not have an email address.

The Contact has invalid characters in the email address and/or the format of the email address is invalid.

The Contact has invalid characters in the Contact Name.

The Contact has one or more invalid Sendgrid Contact Name characters such as a 'full stop', 'semi colon', or a 'comma'.

No Account

There is not an Account or Project in the system with the Contact Name which is in the Email Campaign. The Account could have been deleted since assigning this Contact to the Campaign.

The criteria in the 'Skip Email Address' option on the Email Campaign has been met.

Sendgrid have a merge size limit of 10,000 characters. To resolve this you should reduce how much you are merging into the document.
