You can amend an already created Database Area so that it has the same settings as another Database Area by copying the Area settings. This will not copy Data.

Please note that an Authority Level of Power User or above is required to copy settings.

Before doing this, please be aware that any existing settings in the destination Database Area will be overwritten with the settings of the source Database Area.

Select Menu, Setup > Database Areas and click on the button

Select the Source Area (the Area you want to Copy Settings from) and the Destination Area (the Area you want to Copy Settings to).

Individually select the settings you want to copy or select the 'Select/Deselect All' so that all settings are going to be copied.

All Database Area settings from the Menu option, Setup > Database Areas

Additional Fields

Account Additional Fields only.

Owners

All Owner setup information.

Statuses

All Status setup information.

Responses

All Response setup information.

Scripts & Callguides

Projects

All Project setup information.

Contact settings

Contact titles (eg Mr, Mrs etc), Contact job titles,

Product settings

Product code details, Manufacturers, Tax codes,

Product groups, Product status.

Custom headings and Control settings

All text and control settings from the Menu option, Setup > Field Headings > All-fields (Area no.)

Documents

All Document setup information.

Sales people

All Sales People setup information.

Then select

A warning will appear to advise you that any existing settings in the destination Database Area will be overwritten with the settings of the source Database Area. You will need to 'ok' this popup to continue.

You can then double check the destination Area to look at the settings.
