On the Account list screen, there are two filtering options, Filter and Search.

Filter

This is a more structured filter where you have the choice of finding Accounts based on either their Owner, Project and/or Customer Status.

Most of the Filter section options can be preset in the User Profile. The options can be used to restrict the data that a User can see.

The options in Filter are:

Search

This is more of a detailed Search, you have the option to Search on a larger list of fields being used in the system.

These options are not preset in the User Profile.

You can add up to 5 selection criteria.

This option is usually used for quick, one-time Searches. Use the Save button to save the Search into the Query drop-down list in the Filter section.
