Enabling auto-dialing (progressive dialing) means that the system will dial and hang up the phone line automatically with records being fed to the agents on a pre-defined basis. Since callbacks can also be shown automatically, the system becomes as efficient as it is possible to be. To set callbacks to be shown automatically click here.
Auto-Dialing can be turned on in the area settings, select Menu, Setup > Database Areas and select the Area you wish to edit. Ensure the option ‘Automatically dial the phone when accounts are opened’ is enabled.
You will also need to set a delay in seconds which will allow your User to run through the data already collected in the Account before the Number will be dialed.
Auto-Dialing can also be set on a per-user basis, this overrides the settings in the database area. Select Menu, Setup > User > User Profiles and click on the user you would like to amend. Click on the drop-down header Permissions.
For the setting Automatically Dial select one of the 3 options:
‘Use Area settings’, ‘Yes’, or ‘Never’.
