Highlights
Along with a number of smaller issues, we are excited to announce the following new functionality:
Adobe Sign
In continuation of the theme of digitisation, we have created the functionality to have Adobe Sign directly within the Account Details screen. After logging in to your Adobe account, you can send documents to your customers to be electronically signed, and also view a list of documents you’ve sent and their current status.
FIVE CRM VoIP agent status
The FIVE CRM VoIP telephone system is a very cost-effective and easy-to-use way to make calls from your FIVE CRM system. This release builds on the original functionality by enabling the Agent Call Status screen to show which agents are on calls and then also giving the ability to listen in to any current call. In addition, this monitor screen has options for “whisper” (ie talk to the agent) and “barge” (ie talk to both the agent and customer).
Open system
FIVE CRM has long had the ability to incorporate “Scriptlets” into the Response workflow. Scriptlets are created using PHP application code and enable a huge range of functionality to be added in to the system. Until this release Scriptlets could only be written, updated and uploaded by our own internal technical staff, however, this release opens up that functionality to customers themselves. Customers who have Scriptlets in their system already will see them appear in the new menu option Setup > More > Scriptlets.
Scriptlets can be used in the following areas of the system:
Response workflow
Code is run when a user selects a Response and clicks the “Save & log” button.
Login and logout
There is a new option in User Profiles to select a Scriptlet to run on Login and Logout, this could be to track extra user information or send an email, or maybe send data to another system.
Database Area change
A new selection in the User Profile has been added to set a Scriptlet to run when a user changes their current Database Area. This could be to track specific information on user activity.
Panels in the Account Details screen
A new type of panel can now be created which can be a Scriptlet. As such customers are able to make panels do a wide range of things, including display data from another system, or maybe an update form for data in another Database Area.
Field exit
Scriptlets can be attached to specific fields on Panels and Additional Page Tabs. This could be for validating field contents or maybe updating another field based on the value of the first field.
Dialing method
Any phone system that has an API which PHP can interact with can now be integrated with FIVE CRM.
Job scheduling
Scriptlets can be scheduled to run at required frequencies. For example, this could be to regularly send data to another system or maybe update accounts that have not been accessed for a number of weeks.
End points
An “end point” is effectively an interface into a system. Hence this new function means customers can create their own API to import or extract data from FIVE CRM.
Single signon (SSO)
In this release, we can create the integration with Microsoft Azure which means that if a user has logged in to Azure then just a single click (and no typing) will get them into FIVE CRM. We are using the OpenID Connect and OAuth method for the integration. If you have a Microsoft Office365 subscription then you already have Azure Active Directory.
