A Call guide is a single page of text that can be used as a prompt for points that could/should be raised during a call. Most often they are used for new employees or new clients you are working with. There is no limit to the number of Call guides that can be created.
To run a Call Guide: Open an Account from the Account List and click on the Call Guide button at the top:
To Set up Call Guides
Click on the Menu option, Setup > More > Call Guides:
To create a new Call Guide, click the New Call Guide button.
To select a Pre-made Call Guide click the Add Pre-made Call Guide button. Pre-made Call Guides are more complex Call Guides which are made for your benefit.
To edit a Call guide, single-click the name in the list.
To delete a Call Guide, click the Trash Bin icon.
When creating a new Call Guide you will use the WYSIWYG Editor.
You can copy and paste plain text from another application and you can include merges to automatically insert data from the Account that the user is currently in.
Available field names are the same as for documents, use the Merge fields drop-down.
Pre-made Call Guides
After selecting the option to view our Pre-made Call Guides you will notice a popup will appear, you will need to name the Call Guide and select the one you want from the list. A brief description will be shown which will explain what this Call Guide will do.
Embedded Call Guides
Call Guides can be shown as a popup window or as a fixed Panel on the layout. Go to the Menu option Setup > Panels > Panels. Click on the New Panel button, and in the popup window select the Panel Type of Embedded Call Guide.
Having selected the Panel Type of Embedded Call Guide select the Call Guide you need:
Once the Panel is created you will need to add it to the Panel view, to do this you will need to click into an Account that is using the View you would like to edit. When in the Account you will need to select Edit This View (bottom left corner of the screen).
Select the Insert Panel.
In the popup that appears you will need to select the new panel you have just created and it will be added to the view.
