Customer product records can be used to store many things including product information, contracts and opportunities.

Generally, if the requirement has a product, date, quantity, value and other information then it will most likely fit well into this section.

To import customer product records the Import file must have Account Numbers that match the records in the system. If the Import file does not have the Account Number field then it will not work.

Select and upload the Import file as normal in the Import section (Menu > File > Import).

Select the option Customer’s products.

Click the Continue button.

Notice the system fields now show fields prefixed with 'Product' for mapping.

The field Product: Account Number must be mapped accordingly.

Remember all the field headings can be changed for the screens so if you have two quantity fields but the titles are not "planned" and "actual" you can still map them and change the titles later.

By default, the Additional Fields are all string/text fields. If you want to import dates or numbers then it is best to reconfigure the Additional Fields before Importing. Click here for more details.
